Blessed Artemide Zatti

Blessed Artemide Zatti dedicated his whole life to the sick

9th October 2022 was a great day in the history of our Congregation. It was on that day that Pope Francis canonized St. Artemedes Zatti as a saint in Rome.
The community of Don Bosco Embu too joined the entire Salesian world to make this occasion a very memorable one. We joined in hands with the community of Mazzarello to keep Zatti day.
The celebration of the day began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Babu Augustine, the Rector of Don Bosco Embu.
The Holy Eucharist was well prepared by our choir under our able choirmaster , Fr. Nicodemus Orioki SDB, the Principal of Don Bosco Technical Secondary School.
The Holy Eucharist was followed by Zatti Competition organized by Fr. Babu and his team. Both the students of Mazzarello and Don Bosco were distributed among 9 teams and we had very stiff competition. The aspirants too joined in
these teams. The ultimate winner was “Kenyatta Team”. The lunch of the day was sponsored by some generous people. Everyone enjoyed a lot and learned much concerning our new saint.
